I have been in engineering for nearly twenty years, often working as an engineering manager or CTO. No matter how hard we worked, the business side always felt engineering was too slow. In late 2024, when AI coding tools became popular, we wanted to understand the developer story behind each commit. We spent months researching, posted on LinkedIn about opening the black box of IT, and immediately received interest from unicorns and Fortune 500 companies.
