You are unlike most founders who come on this show. Before we get into business, I want to understand the anomalous origin story that shaped who you are. Where does Adam Neumann begin?

For me, when I get to know someone and they ask where it is coming from, I usually start the same way. First of all, I am a husband. That is my first job and what I am most proud of. Then I am a father of six. Then I am a friend. And after that I am an entrepreneur. I think each one of us has a phenomenal soul that is perfect. And what really defines a person is the gap between where they are and where their potential is. For me, throughout my life, sometimes out of my control and sometimes with my control, I have always been striving to close that gap.
