You write down approximately 100 ideas a day. What does your personal ideation and filtering process look like?
Co-founder & CEO at Airbnb
I keep a notebook and write down roughly one thousand words a day, which equates to about one hundred thoughts or ideas daily, or over thirty thousand a year. Most of them are terrible. At the end of every day, I review the list and bold the handful of lines that genuinely jump off the page. At the end of each month, I use AI to analyze all the bolded entries, identify recurring patterns, and synthesize them into a short list. The beauty of great ideas is that they refuse to die. A truly valuable idea keeps resurfacing in your notebooks month after month until you are forced to build it.
