Q

What first inspired your interest in longevity and life extension?

Question 1 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

My motivation has never really changed since I was a teenager. I always enjoyed life and wanted to understand how people could live as long as they would like to. I am fascinated by the future and wanted to dedicate my career to solving one of humanity's biggest challenges.

0
Q

Why did you move from medicine and research into entrepreneurship?

Question 2 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

I originally planned to become a researcher, but I became frustrated by how slowly research moves. Building companies allowed me to learn business, develop new skills, and eventually return to longevity science with the tools needed to create a larger impact.

0
Q

How did your previous startups prepare you for Tomorrow.Bio?

Question 3 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

My earlier companies were stepping stones. They helped me learn how to build teams, raise capital, manage growth, and solve problems. While those businesses were successful, they were never my final destination. They gave me the experience needed to pursue the mission I truly cared about.

0
Q

Why do you describe Tomorrow.Bio as your life's work?

Question 4 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

This is not a company I want to build and sell. It is deeply connected to my personal mission. I started it because I believe cryopreservation is currently the best opportunity available for extending human life and giving people access to future medical advances.

0
Q

What makes cryopreservation different from other longevity approaches?

Question 5 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

Many companies focus on helping people stay healthier for longer, which is valuable. However, I have not seen another approach that offers a realistic path for preserving people until future technologies can potentially treat conditions that are currently incurable.

0
Q

How do you explain cryopreservation to someone hearing about it for the first time?

Question 6 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

If someone is diagnosed with a terminal illness and current medicine cannot help them, they can choose cryopreservation instead of burial or cremation. The goal is to preserve them in a stable state and give future medical technology an opportunity to address their condition.

0
Q

What are the biggest misconceptions about cryopreservation?

Question 7 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

Many people think it belongs entirely in science fiction. In reality, preservation is already possible today. The challenge is future revival. We are very transparent about that. Nobody can currently bring a cryopreserved person back, but the goal is to create that possibility through future scientific progress.

0
Q

How do you think about risk when discussing cryopreservation?

Question 8 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

I never describe it as a guarantee. Cryopreservation is about improving your odds. If someone chooses burial or cremation, the chance of returning is effectively zero. Cryopreservation offers at least a possibility, and our job is to keep improving those odds through research, governance, and long-term planning.

0
Q

What leadership lesson has helped you most as a founder?

Question 9 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

Deep conviction matters. If you're working on a moonshot idea, you need a strong personal reason to continue. Difficult missions take years of effort, and external motivation is rarely enough. A founder needs genuine belief in what they are building.

0
Q

Why do you focus more on mission than short-term profits?

Question 10 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

If making money were the only goal, there are easier opportunities available. I work on cryopreservation because I believe it can make a meaningful difference. The mission comes first, and business success follows if you create something people truly value.

0
Q

How do you measure success for Tomorrow.Bio?

Question 11 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

There are multiple levels of success. One is making cryopreservation financially sustainable. Another is improving quality and accessibility. Long term, success would mean proving preservation and revival technologies can work, but that may require decades of research and development.

0
Q

Why is affordability such an important goal?

Question 12 of 12
Dr Emil Kendziorra

We want cryopreservation to become available to far more people. Costs are currently high because the industry is still small. As adoption increases, economies of scale can dramatically reduce costs and make the technology much more accessible over time.
