Marketing is fundamentally a zero-sum game because there is a fixed amount of human attention and consumer spending. If ads get ten times better, consumers do not spend ten times more money; the budget is just redistributed. Unlike infrastructure like payroll, you cannot scale a B2B marketing consultancy indefinitely because you are competing for the same limited pool of eyeballs.
