Mobile phones were never designed for deep work or sustained contemplation. Their small form factor conditions our brains for fragmented dopamine hits, continuous multitasking, and rapid scrolling. Attention span is directly commensurate with screen size. In an IMAX theater you sit enthralled for three hours; on a laptop you can focus for hours; on a smartphone you scroll after fifteen seconds. If you want to build enduring things, work on a large desktop screen, put physical blinders on, and restrict social media browsing to twenty focused minutes a day rather than checking feeds twenty-five times.
