I read Rockefeller's biography after building Uber. I learned that he was an incredibly hardcore entrepreneur who optimized every detail. He tested reducing the solder drops on oil barrels from fifty to forty-nine to save costs at scale. He imposed order on a chaotic industry through absolute precision and efficiency.
