Before the People's Uber, Chinese competitors only offered taxi booking. Taxis did not want to pay apps a percentage of revenue and preferred street waves, leaving users underserved. We launched the first peer-to-peer ride-sharing service in China, allowing normal citizens to offer rides, which created a massive, beloved brand.
