My parents sacrificed everything to give our family opportunities. Their work ethic, attention to detail, and persistence shaped who I am. Watching them struggle and overcome challenges taught me resilience and the importance of never taking opportunities for granted.

Part of it is the fear of failure. I don't want Nvidia to fail because so many people depend on us. At the same time, there is a hopeful and ambitious part of me that wants to build something meaningful and make a contribution to the future.

Technology should elevate your ambition. The things that once took ten years may now take one or two years. As technology advances, your goals should grow with it. If your ambition stays the same, you're not fully using the opportunities in front of you.

A great leader is selfless. They care more about the employees, partners, customers, and mission than they care about themselves. Leadership is service. The best leaders create success for others and inspire people to want to be part of the journey.

Leadership is about creating the conditions for other people to realize their dreams. Great leaders help talented people do their life's work. The goal is not just to build a company. The goal is to create an environment where people can do meaningful work and achieve something bigger than themselves.

I believe people can always be better. I give feedback immediately and honestly because I want people to improve. It comes from a place of care. Once feedback is given, we move forward together. The purpose is growth, not criticism for its own sake.

My job is to create a place where exceptional people can do the work of their lives. When talented people feel challenged, empowered, and connected to a meaningful mission, they stay. That's why many employees have been with Nvidia for decades.

I explain our strategy openly and reason through difficult decisions in front of people. This helps others learn how to think through uncertainty. Leadership development comes from empowering people, giving them responsibility, and allowing them to grow through experience.

I see an optimistic future. AI can create an abundance of intelligence, labor, and opportunity. If developed responsibly, it can help people learn faster, become more productive, and create new industries. We should focus on the possibilities while building it safely and thoughtfully.
