Q

What lesson did you learn from your parents?

Question 1 of 13
Jensen Huang

My parents sacrificed everything to give our family opportunities. Their work ethic, attention to detail, and persistence shaped who I am. Watching them struggle and overcome challenges taught me resilience and the importance of never taking opportunities for granted.

0
Q

What drives you to keep working so hard?

Question 2 of 13
Jensen Huang

Part of it is the fear of failure. I don't want Nvidia to fail because so many people depend on us. At the same time, there is a hopeful and ambitious part of me that wants to build something meaningful and make a contribution to the future.

0
Q

What role does ambition play in success?

Question 3 of 13
Jensen Huang

Technology should elevate your ambition. The things that once took ten years may now take one or two years. As technology advances, your goals should grow with it. If your ambition stays the same, you're not fully using the opportunities in front of you.

0
Q

What is your definition of a great leader?

Question 4 of 13
Jensen Huang

A great leader is selfless. They care more about the employees, partners, customers, and mission than they care about themselves. Leadership is service. The best leaders create success for others and inspire people to want to be part of the journey.

0
Q

What should leaders focus on when building a company?

Question 5 of 13
Jensen Huang

Leadership is about creating the conditions for other people to realize their dreams. Great leaders help talented people do their life's work. The goal is not just to build a company. The goal is to create an environment where people can do meaningful work and achieve something bigger than themselves.

0
Q

You are known for being a demanding leader. Why?

Question 6 of 13
Jensen Huang

I believe people can always be better. I give feedback immediately and honestly because I want people to improve. It comes from a place of care. Once feedback is given, we move forward together. The purpose is growth, not criticism for its own sake.

0
Q

How do you keep employees motivated for decades?

Question 7 of 13
Jensen Huang

My job is to create a place where exceptional people can do the work of their lives. When talented people feel challenged, empowered, and connected to a meaningful mission, they stay. That's why many employees have been with Nvidia for decades.

0
Q

How do you develop future leaders inside a company?

Question 8 of 13
Jensen Huang

I explain our strategy openly and reason through difficult decisions in front of people. This helps others learn how to think through uncertainty. Leadership development comes from empowering people, giving them responsibility, and allowing them to grow through experience.

0
Q

What qualities will future leaders need most?

Question 9 of 13
Jensen Huang

As intelligence and technical skills become more accessible, qualities like character, ambition, imagination, empathy, generosity, and kindness will become even more important. The leaders people want to follow are often the ones who genuinely care about others.

0
Q

What separates successful people from those who get left behind?

Question 10 of 13
Jensen Huang

The people who succeed are the ones who engage with the technology of their time. Every generation faces change. Those who learn, adapt, and use new tools move forward. Those who reject change often find themselves left behind.

0
Q

What can parents teach their children about succeeding in the AI era?

Question 11 of 13
Jensen Huang

Whatever your passion is, continue pursuing it. The important question is: how can AI help elevate your learning, your craft, and your purpose? The fields people care about today will still matter in the future. AI is a tool that can help you become better at them.

0
Q

Why do you believe AI will create more jobs than it eliminates?

Question 12 of 13
Jensen Huang

Every layer of the AI industry is creating opportunities. Energy, chips, infrastructure, software, data centers, and AI startups are all growing rapidly. Entire industries are expanding because of AI. History shows that transformative technologies create new categories of work we could not imagine before.

0
Q

What is your outlook on the future of AI?

Question 13 of 13
Jensen Huang

I see an optimistic future. AI can create an abundance of intelligence, labor, and opportunity. If developed responsibly, it can help people learn faster, become more productive, and create new industries. We should focus on the possibilities while building it safely and thoughtfully.
