Q

What inspired you to build Archer Aviation?

Question 1 of 12
Adam Goldstein

I've always been fascinated by transportation and the idea of making people's lives better through technology. Cities are becoming more congested every year, and we saw an opportunity to create a new transportation category that could dramatically reduce travel times and improve the way people move around urban environments.

0
Q

What were the biggest challenges in turning this vision into reality?

Question 2 of 12
Adam Goldstein

The journey started with proving the technology. While the underlying technology has existed for decades, bringing it together into a commercial product required significant engineering work. Beyond that, we needed regulatory frameworks, certification processes, and infrastructure partnerships to make the vision practical and scalable.

0
Q

How important has regulatory approval been to your progress?

Question 3 of 12
Adam Goldstein

It's been absolutely critical. This is the first major aircraft category created by the FAA in decades. Establishing a regulatory framework was a huge milestone because it created a pathway for companies like ours to certify aircraft and bring them into commercial service safely.

0
Q

How do you respond to people who doubt the industry's future?

Question 4 of 12
Adam Goldstein

Skepticism is natural whenever a new industry emerges. Many people doubted whether the regulatory framework would ever exist, and now it does. The next step is demonstrating safety and delivering a great customer experience. Once people experience a trip that takes five minutes instead of ninety, perceptions will change quickly.

0
Q

Why do you believe air taxis will become mainstream?

Question 5 of 12
Adam Goldstein

The value proposition is very simple. People spend a tremendous amount of time stuck in traffic. If we can reduce travel times dramatically while maintaining safety and convenience, there is a very strong reason for consumers to adopt this new form of transportation.

0
Q

What role does safety play in your strategy?

Question 6 of 12
Adam Goldstein

Safety is the foundation of everything we do. Before consumers embrace any new transportation technology, they need confidence that it is reliable and safe. That's why certification, testing, and validation are such important parts of our development process.

0
Q

Why did Archer partner with Stellantis?

Question 7 of 12
Adam Goldstein

Stellantis brings decades of manufacturing expertise. Our goal is not just to build aircraft but to manufacture them at scale. The automotive industry has tremendous experience in efficient production, and we believe there are valuable lessons that can help us accelerate the commercialization of air mobility.

0
Q

How is manufacturing for eVTOL aircraft different from traditional aviation?

Question 8 of 12
Adam Goldstein

Traditional aviation manufacturing often focuses on relatively low production volumes. We're taking inspiration from automotive manufacturing, where efficiency and scale are priorities. The objective is to create a process capable of producing aircraft in significantly larger numbers.

0
Q

What makes scaling production so important?

Question 9 of 12
Adam Goldstein

To make air mobility widely accessible, you need more than great technology. You need the ability to produce aircraft efficiently and at scale. Manufacturing is one of the key factors that will determine how quickly this industry can grow and become accessible to more people.

0
Q

How do you view the current stage of the company?

Question 10 of 12
Adam Goldstein

We're still very early in the journey. I often compare where we are today to the early days of electric vehicles. The first products demonstrate what's possible, but over time you'll see more advanced models, lower costs, and broader adoption.

0
Q

What does the future product roadmap look like?

Question 11 of 12
Adam Goldstein

Midnight is our first commercial aircraft, but it won't be our last. We expect future aircraft to offer greater performance, lower operating costs, and eventually autonomous capabilities. This is just the beginning of a much larger platform opportunity.

0
Q

How do you think about innovation as a leader?

Question 12 of 12
Adam Goldstein

Innovation requires balancing ambition with execution. It's important to have a bold vision, but it's equally important to focus on solving one challenge at a time. Progress comes from consistently turning big ideas into practical solutions.
